You'll do well to stop and think before you dismiss "Promise" asone of those all-too-common "Illness-of-the-Week" television movies.
First of all, there's undeniable talent: James Garner stars as acarefree, self-proclaimed bachelor who suddenly finds himself facedwith the task of caring for his mentally ill brother.
