NT: Burke had words with health boss before his resignation

Northern Territory Chief Minister DENIS BURKE has revealed he had had a discussion
with his health boss IAN FLETCHER last week before Mr FLETCHER resigned.

But Mr BURKE has refused to disclose the reasons why the Territory Health Service's
fourth chief executive officer in two years had quit.

The NT opposition challenged Mr BURKE to respond to rumours from within the department
that Mr FLETCHER had been sacked within two months of taking up his post.
