CREDITOR WINS LIEN ON WOMAN'S LAND.(BUSINESS)

BALLSTON -- Laurie A. Weinlein, former owner of the bankrupt American Payroll Network Inc. -- once the Capital Region's largest employee-leasing company -- has lost a fight to keep a creditor at bay.

Bridge Financial Services Inc. of Minneapolis won the first round in its attempt to collect on a $150,000 loan it made to Weinlein in July. Weinlein and her new leasing company, American Professional Employers Group, borrowed the money from Bridge.

Scott W. Lofthus, an attorney for Bridge, said Weinlein failed to pay back all the money she borrowed. Bridge tried to collect the money, but found that it couldn't put a …
